Superflat First Love

Tienda Louis Vuitton en Omotesando (Tokio) / Louis Vuitton shop in Omotesando (Tokio)

En conmemoración de la colaboración entre Vuitton y Murakami en 2003, la firma LV diseñó  la colección de primavera-verano 'Multicolor Spring Palette' en 2009, convirtiendo la tienda de Omotesando (Tokio) en el Murakamilandia. Y, como no, la secuela de 'Superflat Monogram' (de mi entrada anterior) promocionó la nueva colección. A continuación 'Superflat First Love':

In commemoration of the Vuitton-Murakami collaboration in 2003, the firm LV developed the 'Multicolor Spring Palette' spring-summer collection in 2009, turning the Omotesando shop in Tokio into Murakami land. And, of course, the sequel of  'Superflat Monogram' (on my last post) publicized the new collection. Bellow 'Superflat First Love':

Este es uno de los bolsos de la firma Louis Vuitton de la colección de primavera-verano 'Monogram Multicolore', resultado de la colaboración con el artista Takashi Murakami en 2003, siendo Marc Jacobs el director creativo de la marca.

Fruto de esta colaboración fue también la fabulosa campaña publicitaria que quiero mostraros hoy:

This is one of the Louis Vuitton's bags from the 'Monogram Multicolore' spring-summer collection, as result of cooperation with the artis  Takashi Murakami in 2003, being Marc Jacobs the creative director of the brand.

Blu

Blu no concede entrevistas, oculta su identidad detrás de una máscara y su nombre tras este particular seudónimo. El artista urbano italiano comenzó su andadura artística en 1999, realizando graffitis ilegales en su Bolonia natal. Hoy en día es invitado en distintas ciudades del mundo para realizar grandes murales con su peculiar estilo surrealista.

Blu don't grant interviews, he conceals his identity behind a mask and his name behind this peculiar pseudonym. The italian urban street artist opened his artistic path abroad in 1999, as he made illegal garffitis in Bologna, his home town. Nowadays he is invited in many cities from all over the world to develop huge murals in his peculiar surrealist style.

It is necesary a viewer for the art to comunicate. In this case the viewer is needed for the work of art to exist.

Punto de vista / Point of view

Parafraseando a Ramón de Campoamor, mi madre me decía:
"En este mundo traidor
nada es verdad ni mentira,
todo es según el color
del cristal con que se mira."
Y es que dependiendo del punto de vista de cada uno, la mentira se hace verdad y la verdad ilusión.
Paraphrasing Ramon de Campoamor, my mother used to say:
"In this treacherous world
nothing is true neither lie,
everithing is according to the colour
of the glass through which they look at."
So, depending on each one's  point of view, the lie become truth and the truth become an illusion.

BMW stroke a chord once in 2004, with their "Symetry" spot (where curiosly enogh, no cars appear in it), accompanied by the theme 'Country Waltz' by Angelo Badalamenti, which belongs to the David Lynch's film (1999) 'The straight story' original sound track.

París bajo el agua / Paris underwater

Por muy fijamente que miréis, aunque os frotéis los ojos, París sigue inundada como una Venecia francesa. Parece incluso que un gondolero cantando en francés, va a asomar por detrás de cualquier esquina.
It's no matter how you stare at, or rub your eyes, Paris is still flooded like a frech Venice. Even it is seem that a gondolier, singing in french, is going to poke out behind any corner.

Real vs. Virtual

El ilustrador sueco Johan Thörnqvist nos hace ver lo imposible en dos fases:

Primero tamiza la realidad, la diluye y la matiza.

Después añade lo virtual, que, lejos de parecer elementos ajenos a la realidad, se mueven como pez en el agua dentro de su nuevo entorno 'real'.
The swedish illustrator Johan Thörnqvist makes us see the impossible in two times:
Firstly, he sifts out the reality, he dilutes and tinges it.
Then, he adds the virtual, witch, far from seem foreign elements to reality, they are 'snug like a bug in a rug' into their new 'real' environment.

OLGGA / ARTEFACTORYLAB

Crear arquitectura a partir de nada es una de las ilusiones más soñadas por los arquitectos. Incluso mis sueños no han sido nunca tan bonitos como este vídeo de ARTEFACTORYLAB para el estudio de arquitectura OLGGA.

Creating architecture from nothing is one of the very dream illusions by architects. Even my dreams never have been as nice as this video by ARTEFACTORYLAB for the architect's studio OLGGA.

Hardwired for the same shared passion for design, Alice Vaillant, Guillaume Grenu and Nicolas Le Meur have built OLGGA’s core philosophy around an architecture that is pure, direct and responsible.
