This too shall pass


Este tema de OK Go pertenece a su álbum "Of the blue colour of the sky". Fue producido por Shirley Moyers y dirigido por James Frost, Syyn LAbs y el propio grupo OK Go.
This song from the OK Go album "Of the colour blue of the sky" was prodced by Shirley Moyers and directed by James Frost, Syyn Labs and the band OK Go themselves.


El vídeo fue filmado en un almacén de dos plantas en Echo Park, un barrio de Los Ángeles, California. La "máquina" fue diseñada por el grupo en colaboración con la gente de Syyn Labs.
The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The "machine"was designed and built by the band, along with members of Syyn Labs.


Para diseñar esta máquina inspirada en los artefactos de Rube Goldberg se necesitaron meses de preparación. Tras 20 días consecutivos de 18 horas de trabajo consiguieron la toma perfecta.
To design a Rube Goldberg inspired machine they needed months of preparation. After 20 consecutiive 18 hr days, they finally got the perfect take.

A pesar de que el primer requisito del proyecto es "no magic", la magia reside en el último requisito "one shot": todo un alarde de "grandes ilusiones".

Recuerdo que hace unos 20 años, disfruté muchísimo viendo en el programa "Metrópolis" de la 2ª cadena, una sucesión de montajes que empezaban donde terminaban los anteriores, resultando en una suerte de movimiento sin fin que comenzaba con un simple gesto, como en este caso. Era como el efecto dominó supervitaminado, y tenía un alto poder hipnótico... Todavía es posible, "sintozinando" cerca de la frecuencia de la 2, ver cómo el movimiento continúa y continúa, jejeje
